Processing Steps

Earnings Assembly
  1. Create an Earnings Batch
  2. Enter or Update Time and Other Earnings in this batch
  3. Edit the Earnings Report for this batch
  4. Post the Batch of Earnings
  5. Print the Pay Period Earnings, Earnings Analysis and Earnings Exception Report

Deductions and Other Incomes
  1. Create a Deductions Batch
  2. Enter or Update Manual Deductions in this batch
  3. Generate Regular and Government Deductions for this batch
  4. Edit the Deductions List for this batch
  5. Post the Batch of Deductions
  6. Print the Pay Period Deductions and Deductions Analysis

Payments Processing
  1. Enter or Update Manual Cheques
  2. Generate the Cheques
  3. Edit the Cheque List
  4. Print the Preliminary Cheque Register
  5. Post and Number the Cheques
  6. Print the Cheque Register
  7. Print the Cheques
  8. Print the Pay Statements
  9. Print the Deposit Register
  10. Transfer the Payments to the Bank

Pay Period Processing
  1. Print the Cheque Register
  2. Print the Deductions Detail
  3. Print the Distributions Detail
  4. Print the Cheque Reconciliation Report
  5. Print the General Ledger Report
  6. Print any other required reports
  7. Close the Pay Period (release to General Ledger)

Terminations
  1. Update the UIC History
  2. Terminate Employees with Record of Employment
  3. Print UIC History
  4. Print the Record of Employment

Notes

Care must be taken during time posting to insure that the Employee Master information is ins phase with the time input. This is necessary to apply the correct default rates and distributions. The best scheduling is:

  1. Cut off Employee changes and time input simltaneously
  2. Update the Employee Masters
  3. Post the time

Before beginning to post time for the pay period, verify that the Pay Period and Status are correct for each department.
