Batch Inquiry displays the present status of a batch in assembly. It shows the batch number, the period number and end date, the number of entries in the batch, the next transaction number, the current balance, and if the batch is in balance.

The transactions in a batch are displayed, similar to the Batch Register. It shows the transaction numbers and account names as well as the basic data.
When a batch has been entered incorrectly it can sometimes be easier to get rid of it and start again. This function removes all records from the batch area, then resets the controls to indicate that the batch is empty. Entry will now begin with batch set up again, although the batch number remains unchanged.
